Stronger Together is a business led multi-stakeholder initiative working to reduce modern slavery in supply chains. Stronger Together provides guidance, resources and a network for employers, labour providers, workers and their representatives.
Launched in October 2013 with the UK consumer goods sector, the programme is now supported by the nine largest UK supermarkets. A new programme of work has recently begun in the wine and fruit growing industry in South Africa following funding from the Home Office Modern Slavery Innovation Fund. Also, earlier this year, in partnership with the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), Stronger Together has started a new project tackling modern slavery in the construction sector.
Stronger Together takes a positive collaborative approach that aims to engage and support any business to take action to reduce modern slavery within their operations and supply chains.
